Projects
rice furniture
Rice Studios designed and produced a set of furniture to demonstrate the power of plastic. The furniture is inspired by the common monoblock furniture found all over Vietnam, set on street sides for eating and gathering. This limited set of furniture is hand-crafted by a family-owned furniture maker near Ho Chi Minh city. It demonstrates the power and beauty of an often mis-used, and discarded material, PLASTIC!

Marou: Station
The full counter of this Marou Station was made with our finest upcycled plastic panels. Offering a smooth and elegant finishing in a solid, seamless, concrete-like and unique style. With our customizing material the resulting structure fits perfectly in the Marou spirit, creating a cozy friendly space for chocoholics.

John Reeves: Chester
We are tickled to have provided the 100% upcycled (and recyclable) plastic material for John Reeves’ Chester collection.
Finalist nomination by the Rossana Orlandi Guiltless Plastic Prize in Milan in 2023.
John Reeves is an internationally recognised award winning designer whose passion lies in working locally and regionally on an interactive level where design is not just communicated but felt.

4P's: BKKI Phnom Phen
Designed with a singular mission: to pioneer a zero-waste model. Inspired by this innovative concept, Bloom Architecture and partners created a vibrant structure symbolizing contemporary society and sustainability values.

4P's: Quayside Phnom Phen
We are extremely proud of this collaboration with Pizza 4P’s. See their stunning new project in Cambodia! This space makes great use of our materials as an example of a commitment to sustainability.

Marou: office
Astounding flooring and back-of-house furniture for the all-new Maison Marou Saigon in Thao Dien! We used roughly 250,000 boxes of Tetra Pak (or similar) that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Water resistant, fire retardant, no slippery, no rust, no bendable nor cracking and good thermal and sound insulation.

4P's: Hikari Binh Duong
An exciting journey as we joined the grand opening of Hikari, a captivating 4P's location at the heart of vibrant Bình Dương province. Viet Nam's first zero-waste concept restaurant!
Our upcycled materials have been transformed into countertops, benches, and tabletop organizers. A 4P's signature nationwide.

Ivoire
Located in District 1, Ivoire is a classic French-inspired bakery shop. Designed by T3 Architects Vietnam and assembled by KYLA Art Decor, our recycled plastic materials have been enhanced to be perfectly harmonized with the minimalistic and elegant Ivoire's space.
More than 700kg of plastic waste has been processed in this project to turn it into remarkable lockers, desks, doors and even small coasters.

An Hà
Custom made drawer cabinet made with our upcycled materials in a combination with a crafted wooden top. Great job of Luu's Atelier.
The set of two cubes are a genuine design from An Hà. Seamless joints and internal recycled poles framing make these cubes strong and solid as a single block.
